What's New
Technical Advisory Group Formed « back

During briefings with the elected officials and interested civic or special interest groups, the study teamw asked for opinions on effective forums for holding working sessions of a manageable size. From the responses that were offered, a Technical Advisory Group was formed for Part A of the Prairie Parkway Study.

The technical advisory group comprised of representatives from the study area and regional planning professionals has been formed for the Prairie Parkway Study. Members of this group include representatives from the six counties in the Study Area (county, mayors and manager groups), Illinois Farm Bureau, State Chamber of Commerce, Prairie Alliance for Sensible Transportation (PAST), Chicago Area Transportation Study (CATS), and the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission (NIPC).

Each group independently selected their delegate to the Technical Advisory Group. This group will review the study products, such as the 2030 population and employment forecasts and the transportation system performance report, prior to their release to the public.
